Data Notice
This is the short notice of how Sagora uses your data. It is linked from the sign-up screen. The Privacy Policy has the full detail.
How Sagora uses your data
To create and run your account we use:
- your email and password, or your Google sign-in, to sign you in;
- your date of birth, to check you are 16 or over (never shown to anyone);
- your full name and username (both public) and your country (not shown);
- your profile photo and banner, only if you add them (public).
To run Sagora we use what you post (steps with words, photos, videos and voice notes), your reactions, joins, connections, blocks, reports and room messages; the steps you view and how much of them you see, to show you new posts first and give authors view totals that never name you (under 18: only that you saw a post); your push settings; and technical data such as your IP address, to keep the service safe.
Your chats in Messages are end-to-end encrypted. We cannot read them. If you report a message, your phone sends us its text so we can check it. Discussion rooms on posts are not encrypted.
Where it goes. Your account and posts are stored in India (Supabase, Mumbai). Photos, videos and voice notes are stored in the United States (Backblaze). Our server runs on Cloudflare. Emails are sent by Resend (Japan). Push notifications go through Expo and Google or Apple. We do not show ads or use tracking tools.
How long. While your account is open. When you delete your account in Settings, it is erased after 14 days.
Your rights. You can see, correct or erase your data and withdraw consent by deleting your account or writing to support@sagora.live. If we do not resolve it, write to our Grievance Officer, Shourya Bordia, at support@sagora.live (subject "Grievance"), and then you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India online.

- आपका ईमेल और पासवर्ड, या आपका Google साइन-इन, ताकि आप साइन इन कर सकें;
- आपकी जन्म तिथि, यह जाँचने के लिए कि आपकी उम्र 16 वर्ष या उससे अधिक है (यह किसी को नहीं दिखाई जाती);
- आपका पूरा नाम और यूज़रनेम (दोनों सार्वजनिक) और आपका देश (दिखाया नहीं जाता);
